Original Photo

Thoughts on PictureCorrect's article by Sari Murray: The article written helps me as a newer person to photography understand where one can find creativity in the world. Such as inspirations from other photographers and really being on the lookout for objects that may catch the eye. It even gave the helpful tip to live in the moment and to often practice seeing an image when going from day to day. Try and see a new photographic outlook on the world and think of composition, hue, saturation, etc. to really get into they eyes of a photographer. Being a photographer is not only about taking photos with a camera, it is understanding how a scene works well in a photo to get the perfect shot. Sometimes photography is based on stepping away from the camera and just observes one's surroundings to later get the perfect shot.

Recreated Photo

When working with this assignment, I thought it would be a fun idea to try and work with my phone. I used the panoramic feature on my camera so I could easily replicate the photo. It was a fun process that required multiple attempts due to little errors caused from confusion of how to properly do a panoramic photo. Such as missing limbs, or half closed eyes. It took a lot of trial and error but I felt my photo came out as similar as it could with the provided circumstances. I made sure to pay attention to little details such as the hat and position of the subject. With many attempts, the subject would be too far but with the one shown above, I felt it best fit my attempt at recreating the photo. It was an interesting assignment and I felt that working with the panoramic on a phone could be an assignment on its own.
