When working with this assignment I felt that following along with the article tutorial was very helpful. It helped explain each step and told me exactly where I would hope to find each tool. It was detailed but it didn't go to overboard which I thought was nice. I feel like if articles have too much wording it can become difficult to understand and I felt like the provided article did a good job of not over explaining. 

      I liked doing this assignment, it was simple but interesting. I liked how it focused more on layers instead of working with the tools because I sometimes feel that the layers are easier to understand. With the photo I took of Vanessa, I really wanted a layered background because i felt like the mirror effect would look better with the leaves. I thought it was cool how Vanessa splits the two different types of leaves down the center of the frame, it was a nice touch.
